Makeups and Missing Class
Makeups. If you need to cancel a lesson, please let us know 24 hours in advance and you can set up a makeup lesson at a time that works for the student and instructor (or a sub instructor). Barring last minute illnesses, lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours notice are forfeit. Please note that only one makeup lesson can be “banked” (e.g., if lessons are missed two weeks in a row, we’ll provide only one makeup lesson). Generally, it is the parent responsibility to contact us for makeup scheduling.
Monthly Programs. All programs are covered by our monthly tuition unless otherwise noted.
Monthly Programs. Monthly programs are all billed every 4 weeks. Billings continue until they are cancelled (see Cancellation policy).
Cancellations. Cancellations for any program must be made 30 days in advance via email. Billing for the final month will be prorated based on end date (typically 30 days from cancellation notice).
Substitute Instructors. Occasionally, we may offer a substitute teacher should a member of our staff be sick or unable to teach that day. Where possible, we will notify you ahead of time.
Scheduling changes. When you need to make a schedule change, you must confirm it with the Front Desk person and/or GM. Do not make scheduling changes directly with your instructor as they cannot update the scheduling system.
Tardiness. Please try to encourage students to arrive for their lessons early. Students who are late will begin their lesson once they come in, and end their lesson at the regularly scheduled time. This is a great way to encourage responsibility and time-management.
Holidays. From time to time, HappyCoding will be closed for holidays or school breaks. Classes that fall into Holidays will not be billed.
Food and Drink. No food or drink is allowed in our teaching area due to the equipment. PLEASE BE SURE STUDENTS WASH HANDS before coming to ensure clean usable keyboards. We encourage all students to be responsible and keep our school clean for everyone’s enjoyment.
